Provincial Champs 2099This past year was another successful one for the Rundle Academy Rockies Athletic Program.  It started off with a Provincial Championship won by our football team at the Division IV level.   The golf team showed great promise, sending one of the Senior High team members to the provincial tournament at the end of the season.
The volleyball program was then able to field 6 teams, four in the Junior High and two in the Senior High, all of whom exceeded expectations with the success that they had.   During the basketball season, we were also able to field 6 teams, and had even more success.  The grade 7/8 boys team won the league championships, and all other teams made showings in the quarterfinals and semifinals of their respective playoffs.   Basketball Champions 2010

We had a large number of athletes come out to participate on the badminton team, and were able to send one of our Junior High boys singles players to the South Central Zone tournament in Canmore.  The year finished off on a positive note with Track and Field, as we were able to send three athletes at the Junior High level South Central Zone track meet, and six athletes at the Senior High level to the Provincial track meet, after their success at our local CISAA competition.  With the new championship banners that we have hung in our gym from this past athletic season combined with the growth experienced by all of our athletes, the Rundle Academy Rockies Athletic Program had another strong year and is set-up to be successful once more in this coming athletic season.
